Comments This is one of the best trips I have ever been on. You fly into Nassau and then take another flight out to Cat Island. This island is not built up but beautiful and wild. The people who own and operate the boat are awesome. We saw Oceanic White tip sharks, Reef sharks and Silky sharks. One diver saw a marlin pass by. They take you out for 5 days of shark diving and you can be in the water for hours. Once they attract the sharks these large pelagics will hang around for a long time. You will get in the water first on snorkel and let the sharks get used to you. Then you can go on SCUBA. I didn't want to get out of the water and so my tank was passed to me right in the water! The water is crystal clear and the weather was sunny and hot. Our pictures came out amazing as the sharks stay near the surface and light from the sun reflects on the sharks beautifully. We even got the Oceanics on the reef. These animals came right up to me and swam right by. They are beautiful and majestic. Really a sight worth seeing. The season is from April-June only. There are two options for accommodations. A house that you can share with a group (which is what I did and liked it alot) or you can stay in a hotel about 20 minutes away. I liked the house option as we cooked our own meals (you can get the meal plan for dinners and not cook) but having a kitchen in the house makes me feel like I am on a land base liveaboard. I just loved it.

UW Photo Comments This is a great place to get shots of lots of different kinds of sharks. You can see Oceanic Whitetips, Reefs, Silkys, Lemons. There is also the chance to see Marlin and Tiger sharks passing by.
