Comments I've been diving for almost 15 years, but this was my 16-year-old son's first dive trip after certification. It was all we could have hoped for. Custom Aquatics is a 2-person operation that works as a private charter. Fran and Monte were delightful to dive with. We were picked up at our hotel in the late morning (no crack of dawn wakeup calls), and just the 2 of us went out and reached the dive sites as Stuart Cove's big boats were leaving. We generally had the reef to ourselves. Fran and Monte took turns leading the dive or minding the boat, and were good at pointing out fish life. No sharks or dolphins, but tons of grouper, stingrays, and as wide a range of tropicals as anyone could want. We also dove a few wrecks, but with this operation you can go where you want, conditions permitting. This individual service was significantly more expensive than most dive operations, but it was well worth it. We brought our gear down the first day and never had to touch it again. Swim back to the boat, Fran or Monte would lift it off my back while still in the water and it would be set up on the next tank before I climbed up the ladder. Beverages and lunch were provided. On one dive the last day Monte took photos which were later sent to us on CD. If you want to avoid cattle car diving, and are willing to pay for it, this is a fabulous operation.
