Comments What can I say about the Aqua Cat Liveaboard that hasn't already been said? This liveaboard has a solid reputation and has won awards for being such a great dive boat/vacation.

Food, cabin and crew were fantastic. Diving was easy in clear, warm water. Marine life was plentiful and we saw sharks on pretty much every dive. We did one shark feeding dive which was fun if you are into that sort of thing (great for photographers) . We had opportunities to go on shore excursions every day although there were a few times I did feel a bit rushed to get back to the boat.

Overall a fun dive vacation with my wife.

Here is a video of my trip.

What were the COVID precautions? A report from Nov 2020 was there were issues.
By report author: Peter Neubauer in CA, US at Sep 25, 2021 19:07 EST
In May 2021 we had to take a COVID PCR test to get into the Bahamas and the boat had arranged a Rapid Test for us that was done in port on the boat upon returning for our flights out. We wore masks the first couple of days and then the masks kinda came off when people stated feeling more comfortable. All passengers were vaccinated and most like my wife and I were double vaccinated. Most of the crew but not all had at least one vaccination. For them it was a bit more difficult to get the vaccinations because they were based in the Bahamas but I would imagine by now they are all vaccinated. We had heard there were some issues with crew having COVID earlier in the year when the boat was running but they were isolated quickly. I have no knowledge of any passengers getting COVID from the crew. Hope that answers your question.

Peter, thanks. It's really helpful to know when you book a liveaboard trip that the crew is taking precautions; also the govt. is requiring testing before and the US requiring test before reentry. Those were the procedures when I went to Aruba in Feb & July. Caymans are still closed.
