Comments Due to weather conditions we were not able to visit Osprey Reef, the main reason we had signed on to this trip. We learned that another couple (on this trip) had taken the same trip three times in the past and had yet to get to Osprey Reef. Perhaps a stronger disclaimer about weather aborting certain destinations on the itineray is in order.

The crew is friendly and competent, although they do not compare with the services rendered in various Southeast Asia destinations (e.g. Malaysia, Mayanmar, Thailand, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea, and the Philippines). This crew would assit you with any service that you requested. In the aforementioned destinations there was no need to ask.

For specifics, the tour leader (Gary) was a good and generous fellow to work with. When he could he'd try to meet your diving preferences, albeit he wasn't able to do this more than once in my case. Shantelle was equally eager to meet your diving preferences, but was limited by also being a dive guide. She went out of her way to tend to my seasick dive companion, along with others similarly afflicted - about half of the guests at one point.

The skipper (Cameron) was totally professional, truly gracious in answering your questions about the craft, and was not at all shy to give you a tour of the working aspects of the boat. He was seemingly a gentleman. He was also not shy to lend a hand with mooring and recovering.

All in all, the boat and crew were good, but the diving experience was less than expected. Needless to comment, but we don't blame the weather on the operation. We also don't dispute the skipper's decision to turn back from an attempt at Osprey Reef. The weather was miserable, and he made the right decision.
